Certified Nursing Assistant
The Nurse Assistant Training Program is designed to qualify the student for the California State Certification. Preparation includes 60 hours of classroom instruction and 100 hours of supervised clinical training within the guidelines set by the State Department of Public Health Services. Student must pass the State Competency Examination to be a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). To see class schedules and register click the plus sign.
Continuing Education (C.E.U.)
Please call the school to consult and clarify your status regarding your required Continuing Education Units (C.E.U.). CDPH requires you to complete Forty-eight (48) CEUs within your certification period. Twelve (12) of the forty-eight hours must be completed in each year of the two (2) year certification period. The certification period is the two (2) year period the certificate is active. The certification years are calculated from your birthday to your following birthday.

Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. For many Heartsaver courses, students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.
